Custom variables are used to extend the capabilities of the chatbot in working with personalized user data. They are most widely used to introduce the user's personal account into the chatbot and provide personalized information for him. Examples of business areas in which custom variables can significantly expand the capabilities of a chatbot:
The first step to using variables is to add them in the system settings.
For this, you need to go to the settings section, and the user variables section.
To add a new variable, you must enter the name of the variable and click the add button.
After addition, the variables are displayed as a list above the addition field.

Configuration of variables takes place in the client card. Therefore, to use variables in the chat, it is necessary to link the client's card and the chat. To do this, create or switch to an already created client and connect it to the chat.
Now, we can enter some value in the client for the variable we created. To do this, go to the "user changes" tab in the client; and write the value for the variable.
We can then use our variable in any chatbot script by adding it to the text of the message the user will receive from the bot.
The message the user receives will already have the value of the custom variable.
Variables can also be used in mailings.
