The first step in creating a bot is to go to the “Settings” section

This section contains the following subsections:

  • 1. Basic settings - in this section, data is automatically set by default, which can be edited at any time
  • 2. Bot settings
  • 3. Widget to the site - displays the generated lines of code to link the bot to the site

First of all, go to the “Bot Settings” subsection and create the necessary tokens for the bot.

Tokens can be added immediately for both Telegram and Viber

Consider creating a token via Telegram:

  • 1. Go to the Telegram messenger
  • 2. We find @BotFather through the search or follow the direct link to the bot https://t.me/BotFather
  • 3. Clicks the “Start” button in the bot
  • 4. The bot will display a message with the bot commands. You need to select the command “/newbot”
  • 5. In response to the “/newbot” command, you will receive the message “Alright, a new bot. How are we going to call it? Please choose a name for your bot.” - which asks for the name of your future bot
    • 5.1. The name of your future bot must be unique
    • 5.2. The name of your bot must include the prefix “Bot” at the end
    • 5.3. If the name of the bot you specified is already in Telegram, you will get the error “Sorry, this username is already taken. Please try something different.”
    • 5.4. If the name of your bot has passed the uniqueness check, you will receive a message in response that includes the token of your future bot
  • 6. Copy the received token to the chatbot constructor cabinet and confirm the binding by clicking on the link button
  • 7. Button “Add” - adds another line for the token under the next bot
  • 8. After binding the token, a field with the token and the “Cross” button will be displayed, which indicates that the binding was successful and the bot responds to commands
  • 9. By clicking on the “Cross” button, the binding is canceled, that is, the bot will stop responding to messages, since the token is simply saved, but telegrams, for example, are not tied. Then the display of the token will be with the buttons “Bind token” and “Delete token”

Consider creating a token through Viber:

  • 1. Go to register on the website https://partners.viber.com/login
  • 2. To register, you need to fill out a form with the following fields:
    • 2.1. Select country
    • 2.2. Enter your phone number
    • 2.3. The “Remember me” checkbox is optional. But when you select, your data is saved in the browser, in the password section
    • 2.4. “Login” button - when clicked, a CAPTCHA opens to check for a bot
    • 2.5. After successful verification through CAPTCHA, the transition to the phone number verification screen via SMS
      • 2.5.1. Enter the number sent to you in the Viber messenger
      • 2.5.1.1. If the code from SMS is entered incorrectly, an error message is displayed
      • 2.5.2. A countdown timer during which you need to enter the sent verification code in the messenger
      • 2.5.2.1. If the verification code is not entered within a period of 2 minutes, then you are returned to the phone number entry form, that is, one step back
    • 2.5.3. “Next” button - transfers to the account for creating a token for a Viber bot
    • 2.5.4. Button “Back to login” - returns to the form for entering a phone number
  • 3. Account for creating a token for a Viber bot
    • 3.1. Go to the “Create Bot Account” section, which includes fields to fill in (all fields are required, except for the site) :
    • 3.1.1. Account Image - 400px by 400px account icon
    • 3.1.1.1. Use the mouse wheel to zoom and drag to position the image.
    • 3.1.2. Account Name - account name (your bot)
    • 3.1.3. Uri - automatically generated depending on the account name
    • 3.1.4. Сategory - category selection through the segment selector (drop-down list of suggested options)
    • 3.1.5. Subcategory - selection of a subcategory in the category selected above through the segment selector (drop-down list of suggested options)

    • 3.1.8. Website Address - website address to which the bot can be attached - optional input field
    • 3.1.9. Email Address - your email address
    • 3.1.10. Location - it is possible to select using a marker on the map, under the map the country field is automatically filled in depending on the location of the marker on the map
    • 3.1.11. You need to select checkboxes that match your bot, if the account does not contain this type of data - do not select the checkbox:
      • 3.1.11.1. The account contains adult content - The account contains adult content - optional

    • 3.1.13. Closing the pop-up - automatically goes to the “Info” section, which displays:
      • 3.1.13.1. QR Code - when you hover over it, you will be redirected to the bot in Viber
